We’ll also be a drop site for relief supplies in collaboration with the Second Church in Dorchester, who is working closely with contacts in St. Elizabeth and St. Catherine.
This week has been heavy for many of us in the Caribbean community here in Boston. From Monday until now, countless people have been trying to reach loved ones, see photos, and understand the extent of the damage our families have endured. The loss is beyond words.
In my own family, while everyone is physically safe, two homes have lost their roofs and others have experienced flooding in St. Catherine. Still, one thing about the islands—no matter which one—we always live by the saying:
“We likkle but we tallawah.”
We might be small, but don’t count us out. We are strong, and we always persevere. 💪🏽💚💛🖤
